Our young people can't keep up with a changing world. Too many finish school without the education or training to compete in today's economy—while the biggest corporations in the district profit here and invest almost nothing back into the next generation.
Kids are being priced out of the things that keep them safe. The cost of youth sports has doubled—putting it out of reach for more than half the kids in this district. When kids have nowhere to belong, it costs all of us: in neighborhood safety, in their health, and in their future.
